The story begins when a scorpion comes upon a river he cannot cross. He sees a frog whom he implores to carry him across on his back. The frog is hesitant, afraid of the scorpion but finally agrees.

Part-way across the river the scorpion stings the frog.

The frog cries out "Why have you done this? Now we will both die!"

The scorpion responds:

" It's in my blood..."

Based on this allegorical story, BLOOD examines human nature with a boundary-pushing, gravity-defying fusion of ballet, urban, contact improvisation and martial arts.
