To be recognized as one of Canada's top dance companies because of our excellence, explosive athleticism, raw artistic innovation, and authentic connections with audiences.

Mission

To engage a broad public in enriching, stimulating and exciting experiences and deliver exceptional artistry by:

Creating bold contemporary dance work exploring new territories

Producing and Presenting dance in theatres, non-traditional venues and on film

Staying Relevant through connecting to ideas and visuals that speak to audiences of today

Educating youth through inspiring and empowering workshops and performances; adults though access and opportunities to understand and explore the artistic process and vision.

Committing to long term plans, values and goals, and the well being and development of artists involved.

Artistic Vision

The Chimera Project is a company that artistically seeks to embody strength and the idea of breaching the impossible. Power and its various manifestations are a common theme explored, both in the content of the work and within the parameters of workshops. The workshops inspire young participants to challenge their own perceptions of self and their abilities, emerging empowered and stimulated.
