Founded in 1999 by Artistic Director Malgorzata Nowacka, The Chimera Project excels in the creation and performance of dance in theatres, on film and through using dance in education.
Dedicated to artistic excellence, The Chimera Project's continued critical and audience acclaim has earned it the recognition of being one of Canada's most exciting high-octane contemporary dance companies.

- Listed as one of Top 10 performances of the year in: The Globe and Mail (2001, 2003, 2006), in NOW magazine (2006), and best of International Dance Festival (2005).
- Choreographer/Artistic Director Malgorzata Nowacka is the recipient of the Paula Citron fFIDA award, the Toronto Emerging Artist Award, and Chalmers Award from the Ontario Arts Council.
