Moments in Motion/Au fil du mouvement will be available as a series of seven portraits, as well a feature length documentary, on emerging choreographers from across Canada. These artists represent new voices, diverse backgrounds, both in terms of culture and training. They are re-defining accepted notions of the craft of dance-making, pushing boundaries, taking risks, and presenting a fresh vision in these challenging times. Creative process is the focus of inquiry, entering into the artists' studios, homes and lives, capturing the day-to-day realities of a new generation of dance-makers. The treatment blends cinema verite with dance for camera experimentation.
