Amy Hampton

The "excellent" (The Globe and Mail) Amy Hampton is known for her outstanding interpretation skills - a chameleon that can shift from delicate sensuality to steely power.


  • 1993 - 1999 : L'École Supérieure de Danse du Québec, affiliated with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal.

  • 1998 - 1999 : Le Jeune Ballet du Québec.

  • Worked with : Kd'D2; Kaeja d'Dance.

  • 2004/2005 : CORPUS. Toured extensively throughout Europe, to Singapore and the Canary Islands.

  • Independent Choreographers: Keiko Ninomiya, William Yong, Kathleen Rea, Nicole Fougère, Lincoln Shand, Yvonne Ng.

  • 2003, 2004, 2005 : Performed in Mozart's Requiem, Vivaldi's Gloria and One World, One Music, choreographed by Robert Desrosiers in collaboration with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir.

  • Film credits : Old Country directed by Mark Adam and Allen Kaeja; A Day at the Office directed by Robert Deleskie.

  • Teaching: dance workshops in public schools across Ontario.

  • 2006 : Rehearsal director for: Nova Bhattacharya, Jenn Goodwin, Louis Laberge-Côté, and Lincoln Shand

  • 1999 - now : The Chimera Project. Part of the creation process of Touch (2001), Light Explorations of a Darker Nature (2003), You're It (2005), Drawing the Line or The Hidden Spot (2004), and Keep All Sharp Objects Out Of My Way (2006). Updated: 03/26/2007
